ALEX KRAVETZ DESIGN LUXURY INTERIORS (AKD)

2006 –  2017

My work at AKD focused on luxury hotels and high-end residences worldwide. As part of the team I’ve worked with many major hotel operators, from simple guest room refurbishments to complex renovations and re-branding.. The work I was involved with demanded a high degree of organization and a hands-on approach from the initial concept to completion. I was involved with projects from the initial masterplan to purchasing including the finer details like graphics and signage designs. My specific roles included:

Working as part of a team designing luxury hotel interiors from start to finish.

Liaising with clients and suppliers, ensuring deadlines were met and records were kept.

Researching and sourcing new companies and products, keeping a library of available products as a reference for other office members.

Preparing graphic design packages, which included logo design, carpet design and graphical artwork.

Concept development; Space planning; Detailed project presentations, including 3-D rendering development with rendering specialist,; FF&E specifications & schedules; Cost Budgets;

Developing bespoke furniture & lighting packages with suitable manufacturers;

Co-ordinating tender & quotation information; dealing with contractor/manufacturers queries; Shop drawing review & approvals; Co-ordination meetings; Site surveys, snagging & follow-up.
